Tax, tax that cash cow to death. The Senate finance committee passed a huge tax increase on tobacco today. Currently the Feds. collect 39 cents per pack. The proposed increase will make their share one dollar per pack. Although not law yet, Congressional leader are confident it will pass. Nobody is blocking this vote.
I call upon the cigarette industry to fight back and increase a pack of cigarettes from the current 20 cigarettes to 200 cigarettes per pack. I'd gladly pay 61 cents more in federal taxes for the new 200 super pack. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Congress!
I also call for a Federal tax on beans. They nutritional value is questionable and if you eat to many (a can or two a day) they will adversely effect your health. In addition the second hand smell is hell and in some cases can kill ya.
